Civil War Re-enactment by The Sealed Knot

Once again Friends of Crowland Abbey will be re-enacting the Siege of Crowland Abbey 1643 in conjunction with the Sealed Knot Cittie of London Brigade. Bigger and better more cannon, more pikes, more muskets we even have cavalry this time.
The event kicks off at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday 14th September around the Trinity Bridge followed by a rabble raising march to the Abbey field.
7.15 pm sees a torch lit parade through the town to the field followed by a fire pike assault with a huge firework finale.
The Houndogs perform in the beer tent at 8.30pm to round off a full programme.
Sunday is a quieter day ending with Colonel Cromwell arriving to close the event at 4.30pm.
Wristbands at £5 person for admission to the re-enactment on both Saturday and Sunday are available at the Abbey during the week between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Wristbands for admission to the Houndogs concert are priced at £10 person. They are available at the Abbey and at Bridge Hardware.
Catering is provided by “Poppies” tea room “The Little Red Bus” fish and chips and a barbeque by our local butcher.
The “Stagger Inn” bar will be open both days.
A large living history camp and 17th Century market will give a flavour of what life was like during the Civil War.
So pick your side Roundhead or Cavalier dress up join in and have some fun.
